Norrby IF

Norrby IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Norrby IF, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Norrby IF could be found in Group 19 together with Xghajra Tornados FC, Elite Football FC and SpVgg Kickers 16. Norrby IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Dallas Texans with 0-1. In the Final, Kampala Junior Team won over GAIS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Norrby IF also participated in Boys 18 during Gothia Cup 2012. They reached the 1/32 Final in B18 Slutspel A, but lost it against Lärje/Angered IF with 1-6. Norrby comes from Borås which lies approximately 52 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borås does also provide 18 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: Bergdalens IK, Gerdskens BK, Landvetter IS, IFK Örby, IF Elfsborg, Sandared/Sjömarkens IF, Alingsås KIK, Kronängs IF, Fristad GoIF/Sparsörs AIK/Borgstena IF and Brämhults IK).
