Encinitas Express

Encinitas Express was one of 34 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Encinitas Express, 182 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 45 different groups, whereof Encinitas Express could be found in Group 18 together with Sunnersta AIF, Gefle IF and IFK Göteborg. Encinitas Express continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Sävedalens IF with 0-3. In the Final, Sleipner, IK won over IF Brommapojkarna 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Encinitas Express comes from Encinitas which lies approximately 8900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Encinitas does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (San Diego Soccer Club, Rsf Attack and San Diego Football Academy).
