Sogndal Fotball

Sogndal Fotball was one of 55 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Sogndal Fotball, 176 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Sogndal Fotball could be found in Group 7 together with FC Preußen Espelkamp, Iggesunds IK/Enångers IK and JDFS Alberts. Sogndal Fotball continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against MTV Treubund Lüneburg 1 with 0-4. In the Final, Kampala Junior Team won over Consadole Sapporo and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Sogndal Fotball comes from Sogndal which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Sogndal Fotball, the club IL Jotun does also originate from the area around Sogndal.
