Gävle GIK/FK

Gävle GIK/FK was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Gävle GIK/FK, 182 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 45 different groups, whereof Gävle GIK/FK could be found in Group 35 together with KF Besa-Peja 2, Lillestrøm SK and Karlbergs BK 1. Gävle GIK/FK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IF Brommapojkarna 1 with 0-3. In the Final, Sleipner, IK won over IF Brommapojkarna 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Gävle GIK/FK comes from Gävle which lies approximately 440 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gävle does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Gefle IF, Brynäs IF/FK, Årsunda IF, NorrHam, Ockelbo and Valbo FF).
