Vimmerby IF

Vimmerby IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Vimmerby IF, 176 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Vimmerby IF could be found in Group 38 together with Lyngdal IL, KF Gjakova and Skiljebo SK. Vimmerby IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 38. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against KF Prizren Spor with 0-1. In the Final, Kampala Junior Team won over Consadole Sapporo and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Vimmerby comes from Vimmerby which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vimmerby does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Målilla GoIF and Hultsfreds FK).
