Örby IS

Örby IS was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Örby IS, 87 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Örby IS could be found in Group 3 together with Austin Lonestars 99G Wambach, Borgeby FK 2 and Azalea BK. Örby IS continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Hovås-Billdal IF with 0-1. In the Final, AIK FF 1 won over Benson Soccer and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Örby IS comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 56 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: AIK FF, Bollstanäs SK, Mälarhöjdens IK, Djurgården IF DFF, Boo FF, Djurgårdens IF, Hammarby IF, Karlbergs BK, Segeltorps IF and Spårvägens FF).
