FC Gessel-Leerssen

FC Gessel-Leerssen was one of 67 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to FC Gessel-Leerssen, 122 other teams from 24 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 30 different groups, whereof FC Gessel-Leerssen could be found in Group 28 together with CFBL FC, Västerås SK Ungdom and Danderyds SK. FC Gessel-Leerssen continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IF Eker with 0-4. In the Final, SK Sprint-Jeløy won over E.F. Santos Lala and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. FC Gessel-Leerssen comes from Syke which lies approximately 570 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Syke does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (SG Findorff, TV Oyten, TSV Grolland, TSV Bassum eV, TV Stuhr eV, TuS Sulingen, TSV Uesen, ATS Buntentor, SC Borgfeld eV and ATSV Scharmbeckstotel).
