Sandsbro AIK

Sandsbro AIK was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Sandsbro AIK, 87 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Sandsbro AIK could be found in Group 8 together with Darlington Titans SC, Eskilstuna United DFF and Södra Sandby IF 1. Sandsbro AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Alingsås KIK with 4-5. In the Final, Austin Lonestars 99G Solo won over Upsala IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Sandsbro AIK comes from Växjö which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Växjö does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Växjö Norra IF, Ingelstad IK, Alvesta GIF and Alvesta/Gransholm).
