Assi IF

Assi IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Assi IF, 176 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 44 different groups, whereof Assi IF could be found in Group 32 together with Perles Noires AF, CA Intercups Mexico and Mariestads BK. Assi IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 32. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against SK Haugar with 1-2. In the Final, Skiljebo SK won over Seatown FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Assi comes from Kalix which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Assi IF, the club Nyborgs SK does also originate from the area around Kalix.
