Vejby IF

Vejby IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Vejby IF, 164 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Vejby IF could be found in Group 40 together with IFK Fjärås 2, Melleruds IF, TuS Makkabi Frankfurt and RC Gonesse. Vejby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 40. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Hässleholms IF 2 with 3-6. In the Final, Shilla FC 1 won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Vejby comes from Vejbystrand which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vejbystrand does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: Höganäs BK, WRY, Helsingborgs IF, Eskilsminne DIF, Billesholms IK, Kullabygdens DFF, Ängelholms FF, Hittarps IK, Ramlösa Södra FF and Kullavägens BK).
