Fristad GoIF

Fristad GoIF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 19. In addition to Fristad GoIF, 28 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 19. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Fristad GoIF could be found in Group 3 together with FC Rueil Malmaison, KIF Örebro DFF and Swindon Town FITC. Fristad GoIF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Lyngdal IL with 0-1. In the Final, Lyngdal IL won over Gasteizko Neskak and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 19. Fristad GoIF comes from Fristad which lies approximately 64 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Fristad does also provide 14 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: Bergdalens IK, Gerdskens BK, IF Elfsborg, Sandared/Sjömarkens IF, Alingsås KIK, Kronängs IF, Fristad GoIF/Sparsörs AIK/Borgstena IF, Brämhults IK, Sjömarkens IF and Tvärred/Vegby).
