Boxholm IF

Boxholm IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Boxholm IF, 87 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Boxholm IF could be found in Group 10 together with Järla IF, IFK Örby /Kinnahult and Marin FC 1. Boxholm IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Eskilstuna United DFF with 0-5. In the Final, Austin Lonestars 99G Solo won over Upsala IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Boxholm comes from Boxholm which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Boxholm does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Mjölby AI/FF, Sommens AIF, Mjölby Södra IF, Tranås FF, Motala AIF and Vadstena GIF).
