Plymouth Argyle FC

Plymouth Argyle FC was one of 30 clubs from England that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 19. In addition to Plymouth Argyle FC, 28 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 19. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Plymouth Argyle FC could be found in Group 5 together with KF 13 Qershori, IK Zenith and AIK FF. Plymouth Argyle FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against KIF Örebro DFF with 7-8. In the Final, Vancouver Whitecaps won over Hovås-Billdal IF /Billdals BK and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 19. Plymouth Argyle FC also participated in Girls 19 during Gothia Cup 2012. They reached the 1/4 Final in G19 Slutspel B, but lost it against PSV Sydsjaelland with 0-1. Plymouth Argyle FC comes from Plymouth, UK which lies approximately 1300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Plymouth, UK does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (South Dartmoor CC and Ivybridge Community College).
