Rapid Bukarest

Rapid Bukarest was one of three clubs from Romania that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Rapid Bukarest, 233 other teams from 41 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Rapid Bukarest could be found in Group 45 together with TSV Buchholz 08, Oppsal IF and BK Häcken. Rapid Bukarest continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 45. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SC Sternschanze with 3-4. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Rapid Bukarest comes from Bucaresti which lies approximately 1800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bucaresti does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (ACS May-Day Sport and Special Olympics Romania).
