TSV Friesen Hänigsen was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to TSV Friesen Hänigsen, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof TSV Friesen Hänigsen could be found in Group 2 together with Torshälla-Nyby IS, ACBB Paris and Sel. Bogotá. TSV Friesen Hänigsen continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Onsala BK with 0-3. In the Final, Corsa FC 1 won over C.B./Oeste Solidaria and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 18. Friesen Hänigsen comes from Hänigsen which lies approximately 600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hänigsen does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (MTV Eintracht Celle and SSV Plockhorst).
