Sturehov, IK

Sturehov, IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Sturehov, IK, 84 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 21 different groups, whereof Sturehov, IK could be found in Group 8 together with BK Derby, Vänersborgs IF and FC St. Pauli Hamburg. Sturehov, IK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Bele Barkarby FF with 0-2. In the Final, Bele Barkarby FF won over Gustafs GoIF and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 17. Sturehov, comes from Örebro which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Örebro does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Yxhults IK, IF Eker Örebro, Nora Pershyttan BK and Örebro SK FK).
