FC Honka

FC Honka was one of 16 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to FC Honka, 140 other teams from 31 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof FC Honka could be found in Group 27 together with Interesporte, BK Häcken 1, Oppsal IF 2 and Persnäs AIF. FC Honka continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 27. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against KFV Segeberg with 2-5. In the Final, IF Elfsborg won over Efthymiades FA and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 12. FC Honka comes from Espoo which lies approximately 780 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Espoo does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (HPS, PK-35, NJS, HJK Helsinki , HooGee Rubiinit and Pajamäen PV).
