Värnamo, IFK

Värnamo, IFK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Värnamo, IFK, 110 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Värnamo, IFK could be found in Group 7 together with TSV Abbehausen, Järla IF and Falköpings KIK. Värnamo, IFK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Texas Spirit SC 98 North with 0-1. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over Gamla Upsala SK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 15. Värnamo, IFK comes from Värnamo which lies approximately 140 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
