Champlin Rebels SC

Champlin Rebels SC was one of 30 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Champlin Rebels SC, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Champlin Rebels SC could be found in Group 20 together with Kick Off Academy, Stenungsunds IF and IFK Viksjö 2. Champlin Rebels SC continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 20. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Sollentuna Fotboll IF with 1-2. In the Final, Fässbergs IF won over Fyllingsdalen FK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 18. Champlin Rebels comes from Malmö which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Malmö does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Gröndals IK, Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, IFK Trelleborg, GIF Nike, Bara GIF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, LB07, Skurups AIF, Trollenäs IF and AB Tårnby).
