Hagby IK

Hagby IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Hagby IK, 140 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 34 different groups, whereof Hagby IK could be found in Group 8 together with GAIS, TJK Legion Tallinn and JSG Mitte NF 1. Hagby IK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Brämhults IK with 0-1. In the Final, Beirut FAC won over San Javier Guadalajara and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 12. Hagby comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Upsala IF, Rosersberg IK, IFK Uppsala, Bälinge IF, IK Fyris, Håbo FF, Sunnersta AIF, Vaksala SK, IK Sirius FK and SK Wigör).
