IL BJØRN

IL BJØRN was one of 53 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IL BJØRN, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof IL BJØRN could be found in Group 36 together with Redlands AYSO, IBV 2 and Delsbo IF Blå. IL BJØRN continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 36. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against KF Besa-Peja with 0-3. In the Final, Paris F.C won over Cruzeiro EC and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. BJØRN comes from 6868 Gaupne which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around 6868 Gaupne does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Lærdal Idrettslag and IL Jotun).
