SV Henstedt-Ulzburg was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to SV Henstedt-Ulzburg, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof SV Henstedt-Ulzburg could be found in Group 43 together with Åkarps IF 1, Bergnäsets AIK and Airbus Academy 1. SV Henstedt-Ulzburg continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 43. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against FBK Karlstad with 1-3. In the Final, InterClubes won over FBK Karlstad and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 16. Henstedt-Ulzburg comes from Sülfeld which lies approximately 450 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sülfeld does also provide 19 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: SC Egenbuettel, SV Rugenbergen, SC Vier- und Marschlande Hamburg, SC Buntekuh Lübeck, SG LTW Leezen, Ellerau, SC, TSC Wellingsbüttel, Halstenbek-Rellingen SV, SC Sternschanze and Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld).
