TSV Altenholz was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to TSV Altenholz, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof TSV Altenholz could be found in Group 28 together with IF Lödde, MSEI/Midsouth FC and FC Rueil Malmaison. TSV Altenholz continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 28. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against First Mobile Sports Academy with 1-2. In the Final, Corsa FC 1 won over C.B./Oeste Solidaria and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 18. Altenholz comes from Altenholz which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Altenholz does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (KFV Neumünster and Egernførde UF).
