Oxie IF

Oxie IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Oxie IF, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Oxie IF could be found in Group 4 together with ASC Pessac Alouette, Jaipur Football Club and IFK Östersund. Oxie IF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against SK Sprint-Jeløy with 0-1. In the Final, Corsa FC 1 won over C.B./Oeste Solidaria and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 18. Oxie comes from Svedala which lies approximately 260 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Svedala does also provide 26 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Gröndals IK, Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, IFK Trelleborg, GIF Nike, Bara GIF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, LB07, Skurups AIF, Trollenäs IF and Vellinge IF).
