Lamorinda FC

Lamorinda FC was one of 30 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Lamorinda FC, 84 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 21 different groups, whereof Lamorinda FC could be found in Group 1 together with DFK Värmbol, IFK Aspudden-Tellus and FK Fjellhamar. Lamorinda FC continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Kungsbacka DFF 1 with 0-2. In the Final, Bele Barkarby FF won over Gustafs GoIF and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 17. Lamorinda FC comes from San Francisco which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Francisco does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Marin FC and SF Seals PSG).
