Tierps IF

Tierps IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 19. In addition to Tierps IF, 32 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 19. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Tierps IF could be found in Group 1 together with Södra Sandby IF, Hanvikens SK and SK Hardhaus. Tierps IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Karlskrona FF with 2-3. In the Final, AIK FF won over Karlskrona FF and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 19. Tierps comes from Tierp which lies approximately 430 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tierp does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Tobo/Örbyhus FF and Gefle IF).
