Carlstad United

Carlstad United was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Carlstad United, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Carlstad United could be found in Group 30 together with Fyllingsdalen FK, Rio FC and KF Prizren Spor. Carlstad United continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 30. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Kampala Junior Team with 0-2. In the Final, Fässbergs IF won over Fyllingsdalen FK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 18. Carlstad United comes from Karlstad which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Karlstad does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Villastadens, IF, FBK Karlstad, Östra Deje IK, QBIK and IF Hammaren).
