IF Tarup/Paarup

IF Tarup/Paarup was one of 15 clubs from Denmark that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IF Tarup/Paarup, 188 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof IF Tarup/Paarup could be found in Group 44 together with Team Obwalden, Stålkameratene and Bara GIF. IF Tarup/Paarup continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 44. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Åkarps IF 1 with 7-8. In the Final, Paris F.C won over Cruzeiro EC and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. Tarup/Paarup comes from 5492 Vissenbjerg which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IF Tarup/Paarup, the club Assens FC does also originate from the area around 5492 Vissenbjerg.
