FC Saint Médard en Jalles

FC Saint Médard en Jalles was one of 22 clubs from France that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to FC Saint Médard en Jalles, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof FC Saint Médard en Jalles could be found in Group 12 together with Pajamäen PV, Assyriska BK and Gideonsbergs IF 2. FC Saint Médard en Jalles continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against ACBB Paris with 1-2. In the Final, Paris F.C won over Cruzeiro EC and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. FC Saint Médard en Jalles comes from Le Porge which lies approximately 1700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Le Porge does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (F.C. Martignas Illac and ASC Pessac Alouette).
