Bjärnums GoIF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 11. In addition to Bjärnums GoIF, 111 other teams from 29 different countries played in Boys 11. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Bjärnums GoIF could be found in Group 25 together with KFV Segeberg 1, Balfour Alexandra FC 1 and Fässbergs IF 2. Bjärnums GoIF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Fässbergs IF 1 with 2-6. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Accademia Gaggiano and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 11. Bjärnums GoIF comes from Bjärnum which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bjärnum does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Broby IF, IFK Hässleholm, Hjärsås/Värestorp IF, IFK Osby, Markaryds IF, Vittsjö DFK, Sösdala IF and Hässleholms IF).
