Kopparbergs BK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Kopparbergs BK, 204 other teams from 26 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 51 different groups, whereof Kopparbergs BK could be found in Group 49 together with Ascot United FC, Värmdö IF and Säters IF. Kopparbergs BK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 49. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Jyllinge FC 1 with 2-4. In the Final, IFK Berga won over GAIS and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 14. Kopparbergs comes from Kopparberg which lies approximately 300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Kopparbergs BK, the club Ludvika FK does also originate from the area around Kopparberg.
