União Atletico Povoense was one of 9 clubs from Portugal that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 13. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof União Atletico Povoense could be found in Group 16 together with GAIS, Älvsjö AIK FF and JäPS. União Atletico Povoense continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Jakarta Football Academy with 1-2. In the Final, CEF 18 Tucuman won over Club Reunion and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 13.
