Ope IF

Ope IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Ope IF, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Ope IF could be found in Group 32 together with Öckerö IF, Montrouge FC 92 and Podar International. Ope IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 32. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against IK Zenith with 0-3. In the Final, ACBB Paris won over Kampala Junior Team and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 15. Ope comes from Östersund which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Östersund does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Myssjö/Ovikens IF and IFK Östersund).
