Storfors AIK

Storfors AIK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Storfors AIK, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Storfors AIK could be found in Group 55 together with SK Sprint-Jeløy 2, Bagarmossen Kärrtorp BK and BV Werther. Storfors AIK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 55. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Monte Libano with 0-1. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Storfors AIK comes from Piteå which lies approximately 980 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Storfors AIK, the club Lillpite IF does also originate from the area around Piteå.
