Seatown FC was the only club from the Republic of Ireland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Seatown FC, 147 other teams from 32 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Seatown FC could be found in Group 36 together with Runar, IL, Rotenburger SV and Storvreta IK. Seatown FC continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 36. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IF Elfsborg with 1-4. In the Final, Fässbergs IF won over Fyllingsdalen FK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 18. Seatown FC comes from 123 Dundalk which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
