Kinna IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Kinna IF, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Kinna IF could be found in Group 57 together with Nesodden IF, Team Obwalden and Lira BK. Kinna IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 57. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Rödeby AIF with 0-4. In the Final, ACBB Paris won over Kampala Junior Team and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 15. Kinna comes from Kinna which lies approximately 51 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kinna does also provide 18 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Landvetter IF, Tölö IF, Kungsbacka IF, Mölnlycke IF, Annebergs IF, Bergdalens IK, Brämhults IK, Stenkullen GoIK, Sandared/Sjömarkens IF and Landvetter IS).
