IFK Uppsala

IFK Uppsala was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to IFK Uppsala, 188 other teams from 34 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 47 different groups, whereof IFK Uppsala could be found in Group 47 together with Kattem IL, IF Elfsborg and Rotenburger SV. IFK Uppsala continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 47. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against FK Cementarnica 55 with 1-4. In the Final, Paris F.C won over Cruzeiro EC and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 16. IFK Uppsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Upsala IF, Bollstanäs SK, Rosersberg IK, Rö IK, Gamla Upsala SK, Bälinge IF, IK Fyris, Håbo FF, Sunnersta AIF and Vaksala SK).
