Lörby IF

Lörby IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Lörby IF, 110 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Lörby IF could be found in Group 18 together with SK Djerv 1919, SC Borgfeld eV and Emmaboda IS. Lörby IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 18. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Fjolnir with 1-3. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over Gamla Upsala SK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 15. Lörby comes from Sölvesborg which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sölvesborg does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Hjärsås/Värestorp IF, Kristianstad DFF, Åhus HBK, Asarums IF/FK, Mjällby AIF, Kristianstad BoIS, Ronneby BK and Sölvesborgs GIF).
