Zasp Stars

Zasp Stars was one of two clubs from Zambia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Zasp Stars, 233 other teams from 41 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Zasp Stars could be found in Group 9 together with Herrestads AIF, Kulladals FF and Skjetten SK. Zasp Stars continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against MTV Treubund Lüneburg 2 with 1-2. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Zasp Stars originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Lerums IS, IF Väster, Näsets SK, Finlandia-Pallo IF , Södra Skärgården IK, Landvetter IF, BK Bifrost, Tölö IF, Kungsbacka IF and Fässbergs IF).
