F.C. Martignas Illac

F.C. Martignas Illac was one of 22 clubs from France that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to F.C. Martignas Illac, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof F.C. Martignas Illac could be found in Group 35 together with IFK Eskilstuna, Cruz Azul Zona Esmeralda and Gunnilse IS. F.C. Martignas Illac continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 35. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against First Touch FC with 0-1. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. F.C. Martignas Illac comes from Le Haillan which lies approximately 1700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Le Haillan does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (FC Bordeaux Aquitaine, ASC Pessac Alouette and FC Saint Médard en Jalles).
